Ever since I was a child, I have always wanted to fly.

I can remember laying out in the grass in our backyard and looking up to the sky.

I would marvel at the clouds as they floated by and wonder about the airplanes as they soured across the sky.

Got to wondering about the passengers on those planes.

  • Where are they going?
  • Where have they been?
  • What stories do they have to tell of their adventures?

Even though it seemed impossible — because we could not afford it — there were a few opportunities to go up in small planes with friends of the family when I was a child and as a teenager.

As a college student, there was the opportunity to fly in a float plane. Taking off and landing on a lake in Northern Ontario was really a neat experience.

Then as an adult, there were conferences to attend at various cities throughout Canada and the United States.

However, the challenge has always been not having enough money to fly.

Recently I came across a concept called travel hacking.

It does not take a big bank account to be a world traveller, just the right strategy and proper execution.

Already my mind is feeling excited to realize my dream of flying can come true!

I have just started to learn about travel hacking and plan to share my experience.

As always, your comments are welcome. You may even want to share something about your dream!

All the best,
