Everyone wants to feel that they have success. Unfortunately, few people really do feel like they are successful.
A better question may be What is Success?
The best definition of Success that I have found was discovered many years ago by the late Earl Nightengale.
Success is the Progressive Realization of a Worthy Ideal
The error most people make is in not knowing that Success is NOT a destination.
It is a LIFESTYLE.
It is ongoing movement towards an objective. That is Progressive.
Realization is the unfolding awareness that comes with growth. We can most easily see this in young children as they grow and develop. It is also seen in students in school as they learn new subjects.
An Ideal has been described as “an Idea you Fall in Love with.” Can you remember how you felt when you first fell in love with another person? Can you imagine falling in love with an idea! That becomes the objective that you are moving towards.
Coming back to the original question, What does it take to succeed?
To succeed you need to have to something to live for – an idea that you have fallen in love with!
What is it that you are living for?
What is the idea that you have fallen in love with?
