I am currently reading a book called “Three Feet from Gold” by Sharon L. Lechter and Greg S. Reid with The Napolean Hill Foundation.

The title of the book is taken from a story in “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill about a gold prospector who staked a claim, struck a gold vein, and then quit when the gold ran out.

As you read the story in Think and Grow Rich, you discover that the prospector had quit 3 feet from gold!

I had thought this book was going to be a collection of short stories.

Instead, this is an allegory which tells the story of a young entrepreneur whose business and personal life were falling apart.

He was ready to give up.

Then happinstance put him on a new course in life.

This story is his journey through a series of life changing encounters with some of todays foremost business leaders and inspirational figures.

It is a riveting story.

Rather than being a collection of individual short stories, it is a tale that intersects with these leaders and the stories they have to tell to this character.

This book is both a must read and a must have.

Please share a story of being Three Feet from Gold! in the comments below!

all the best
